Our bylaws state that 25% of our membership constitutes a quorum at our annual meeting. We need to reach that number, in person or by proxy, to complete business.
We will be electing our incoming board members (slate of positions coming soon) and voting on the following change to our club bylaws:
4. In the absence of a divorce decree, when a divorce occurs, both parties will be required to submit a letter to the board of directors assigning the membership to one of the parties. The bond/certificate will then be reissued in that individual’s name only. This letter should be signed by both individuals and notarized. Children living with either parent will retain full membership rights. The non-member ex-spouse will be allowed the use of the club as a paying guest of an adult member. This privilege will be allowed even if the non-member spouse is with-in the resident boundaries per the by–laws. If at some point the member chooses to re-assign the membership to the other party, this can be done so in a letter with both signatures notarized. If the parties cannot agree as to who will own the membership, the membership will be considered canceled, and any monies to be refunded will be split equally between the two parties. Membership must be settled within 30 days of the divorce decree.

If no money is owed to the members (the membership certificate is not refundable), the membership will be retained by the member maintaining residence at the address on record.
If you cannot attend the meeting on Oct. 27th, please complete a proxy form so that we may count your vote and our new board members may begin their roles. A proxy assigns your vote to another Mill Glen member who will be present. One vote or proxy per member family please.
